Duplicate Number System
In this system, the Majors are paired according to how they duplicate the base number.
For example, I-Le Bateleur is paired with XI-La Force to illustrate the meaning of the Aces. In each card, the number One is duplicated (I) and (XI) or (10 + 1= 11). Indeed, this pairing offers definite iconographic similarities.
Just look at the hats of the characters on both cards, which illustrate the infinity symbol. Both illustrate new beginnings, but perhaps show different aspects of applied force.
For example, the 10 of Swords is actually X-La Roue de Fortune and XX-Le Jugement in the suit of Swords.

IIII and XIIII

Yet, some pairings like IIII-L’Empereur combined with XIIII Temperance are more obscure.
Indeed, both Major cards conatin the number 4, but their connection is not immediately obvious.
In the first instance (IIII) the stability and balance is achieved through force; in the second instance, the stability and balance is achieved through negotiation of opposites. Thus, XIIII-Temperance is a higher vibration of IIII-L’Empereur.
The strengths of this system is how it utilizes the natural symmetry of the Majors when lined up row-by-row in two rows of ten cards, each.
The challenge of this system is that some of the connections are obscure. For some, the system doesn’t retain its neat integrity for all examples.
The next option of the 2x10 System seeks to rectify the obscurities of the Duplicate Number System, while retaining a numerology system that is based on 10.
