What, no posts?

I'm not crazy about ANY of the post-TdM tarots except the Fantastic Menagerie and The Buddha Tarot. I consider the FM a Big Fat Oracle deck, rather than a Tarot. Kind of like a 78 card La Vera Sibilla, lol. It's been force-fitted to RWS, surely as a selling point. Like most sales gimmicks, it has its points of absurdity. Consider John Wayne Gacy for the 6 of Coins:

Grandville's art is truly fantastic, though, and cynical enough not to be nauseating. And it works beautifully if you ignore the Tarot veneer and just read from the pictures.

I don't read the Buddha as Tarot, either, but simply for its own sake.

I know some perfectly intelligent people who like reading Crowley Thoth, so I'll leave that one alone, even though I'm not a fan of the art. Other than that, I just like TdM.
